Avocado Matcha Smoothie & Matcha Latte
It’s Saint Patrick’s Day. Sure, green beer or Kiwi margarita sound good, but here’s a healthy alternative to enjoy something “green.” How about some Avocado Matcha Smoothie? Matcha is powdered green tea. This antioxidant rich powder may have beneficial health effects like lowering your glucose levels.
Here is the recipe:
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup milk or soy milk
½ avocado
2 tsp matcha green tea powder
1 tsp honey
½ tsp chia seed
1 cup ice
DIRECTIONS:
In a blender, add all the ingredients and blend well.
If you prefer something warm, simply combine matcha powder with milk of your choice for some Matcha Latte! (here, we combined 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk with 1 1/4 tsp matcha powder in a saucepan).
